Peeing problems

Urination problems are common. Most children are potty-trained between the ages of two and four. When children start school, they are expected to be dry during the day. Of course, the child may still have the occasional accident.

At night, children tend to be potty trained a little later. This is quite normal. In some children this development proceeds differently. Then doctors speak of late or disturbed potty training. Again, this is not something to worry about and you are certainly not alone. Over 15% of all six-year-olds and 5% of ten-year-olds are not yet dry at night, for example. For the age group between fifteen and eighteen, it is about 1.5%.

Pediatrician

What pediatricians see a lot of are children with urinary problems or with difficulty with their potty training. For example, the children have urinary problems such as peeing accidents during the day, pee too often or not often enough, have recurring bladder infections, still pee in their beds, can't urinate (out), or have delayed or disrupted potty training.

Peeing problems, of course, can have a major impact on a child's and family's life. It is a difficult subject to talk about for both parents and children.

Causes of daytime urination problems

Most children who experience urine leakage do not have a physical problem. They are perfectly normally developed, but have a disorder of bladder filling, bladder emptying or a combination of both. All the different types of urinary problems can have different causes, for example:

  • a bladder infection (sometimes with and sometimes without fever or associated symptoms)
  • the child has constant urges and ignores them
  • ket child has improper urination technique or holds urine too long
  • problems with defecation

Polis

Especially for children with urinary problems, several hospitals have special outpatient clinics specializing in those urinary problems. The goal is to discover the cause of the problem and to teach your child normal urination behavior. The doctor will always do physical examinations to rule out physical problems. This special clinic may have a different name in each hospital such as urinary clinic, pipopoli or pediatric incontinence clinic. So it takes some searching on the hospital's website to find the right clinic.

Causes of bedwetting

Bedwetting almost never has a physical cause. A physical problem can of course be ruled out by a family doctor or a pediatrician. However, bedwetting is a very common problem among urinary problems. We speak of bedwetting when children aged 5 or 6 years old, urinate in bed more than twice a week. Causes may include:

  • Sometimes heredity plays a role; consequently, one of the child's parents was dry late at night
  • The child may be sleeping so deeply that the brain does not recognize the signal of a full bladder
  • Finally, children may have a small bladder or create too much pee in their sleep.

Dryly Bedwetting Alarm

Bedwetting is one of the most common urinary problems. A very effective method to get rid of bedwetting is the bedwetting alarm method. The bedwetting alarm method teaches children to recognize the signal of a full bladder at night and thus to go to the toilet on time. 93% of children are dry at night within six to eight weeks when using a bedwetting alarm. The Dryly bedwetting alarm is unique:

  • Wizzu the panda bear is your child's buddy during urine alarm training. He gives your child the confidence that he/she can
  • The Dryly bedwetting alarm app alerts you when your child has an accident, keeps a record of accidents and includes a game to motivate your child during practice
  • Never knew a dryly bedwetting alarm would be a godsend! An alarm clock in the shape of a soft toy and no one sees that you have a bedwetting alarm in your room. We ordered a package with 4 underwear was cheaper than loose and then unfortunately No reimbursement from the insurance I thought at first, quite an expense but actually you can strip the money away.

  • Fine program! Top system for our son. Only the underwear are quite small and too bad that wizzu only has 1 alarm sound. Otherwise a super program.

  • Shipping took a little long, but her product is top notch! Daughter loves it with the toy and the app and is super motivated partly because of it!

  • What a great invention!!! I was suspicious about the bedwetting alarm at first but immediately after 1 week of use we saw progress. Meanwhile both sons are potty trained with Dryly's bedwetting alarm. Huge pluses for the fun method and playful approach!!! Dryly thanks for your invention.

  • Our 7-year-old son wet his bed so much every night that no diaper could stop it. When we saw dryly passing by on Facebook, we were a little skeptical at first. Because we became so despondent about the situation, we decided to purchase a dryly bedwetting alarm anyway.

  • After also sending an email to dryly they called me nicely And walked me through the program the device is now working properly. The telephone support is really perfect this man took all the time.

  • Setting up the dryly was a little tricky at first because it kept not picking up our WiFi network. But after a call to the fine customer service department, the system worked fine after a reset. The app works with a reward system which made us enthusiastic to get started. The first nights we got 2-3 reports of accidents every night.

  • Daughter of 5 was wet every night, therefore chose to order the dryly. The first week she did not wake up despite the vibrate function. The 2nd week this was different and she did wake up from the alarm and vibration function, but in a wet bed. The 3rd week she woke up immediately from the alarm as soon as there was 1 drop in the underwear, this made her stop and go to the toilet.
